I’m teaching two stage combat workshops this month:

1. Moving like a Master: Brief intro/review of the basic attacks and parries with a sword, learn a simple sequence, then work on how to add physicality and nuances that convey different levels of skill/background. No experience necessary, some prior exposure to stage combat and familiarity with principles helpful. Wednesday, July 17th from 7-9 p.m.

2. Reactions and Rolls: 80+% of what sells a fight/technique is the reaction. We’ll cover reactions to impacts of various types and levels of force, holds/locks, stabs and slices as well as safe falling/rolling. No experience necessary. Tuesday, July 23rd from 7-9 p.m.

Cost is $22 per person for each, both workshops are capped at 6 participants, and will take place at our facility in Trumansburg. If there is additional demand for either (or both) workshop we’ll try to schedule additional sessions.
